    • Staff is trying to help but lack training
    • The building is beautiful
    • We stayed here with our two teenagers in a villa, and it was absolutely stunning. The villa was spotless and beautifully designed. The staff was attentive, and the customer service was superb. The lobby alone took our breath away — with gorgeous views of the pool and decor that instantly reminded us we were in another country. The artwork and architectural details were simply beautiful. The food was an unforgettable experience. Every meal transported us to another world, with flavors I had never experienced before. Just wow! This resort is truly a must visit. Even our teens said it was the best place we’ve ever stayed and they didn’t want to leave.

    Cons -

    • All rooms and facilities smell like mold and sewage. Staff is trying to help but lack training and is rather intrusive. Lots of fails in the details.
    • You need to improve your front desk ability to handle things faster ! Most check in took an average of 30-40mins ! Mine took 1 whole hour and I was sweating buckets she didn¿t even bother to offer me water , until the process was completed !
    • Everything was perfect.

The staff were amazing with our 4 year old daughter, especially at the kids club. The pool was perfect, never too busy and the restaurants, while expensive, were delicious!

One of the best hotels in Bali- we had an issue while checking in but the team went above and beyond to make it up for us. The hotel is wonderful and the beach is really. It's a very family friendly hotel.

It can be too busy at breakfast and you will have to wait to get your table.

The property is Amazing really pools views all is perfect. The management is amazing and very friendly but the normal stuff is not so professional they need more training.

I got food poisoning me and my wife after two days of in room dining they are not clean and not hygienic even the taste is not so good take care to order any small snacks even from the in room dining it was the worse experience i had in Bali. The other point is the room with pool i have it i don’t recommend it at all take normal room much better because the private pool is not heated so the water is very cold and not so clean. The third point was that the hotel far away from all the shopping areas so it is good for relaxing only.

The service was excellent. All staff were very attentive, warm, and professional. I also loved the architecture of the property — it is truly beautiful and impressive.

The only downside was that the weather outside was quite hot, but it did not affect the overall experience.

We spent our holidays with our 17-month-old child, and overall we were happy with our stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the food was tasty and offered good variety, and the hotel territory was well maintained, clean, and pleasant, which made our stay comfortable, especially while traveling with a toddler.

I would like to share several unpleasant experiences we encountered during our stay, which unfortunately affected our overall impression of the hotel. We found one free sunbed located under the same umbrella as another sunbed that only had a wet towel on it, with no other personal belongings. Initially, a staff member told us we could use the free sunbed and that the towel would be removed. However, shortly after, the towel was returned and we were informed that the person using it was supposedly sitting nearby at the pool bar. We were then told that we could not use the free sunbed simply because it was under the same umbrella. When I kindly asked the staff to show me the person so I could politely ask whether we could use the free sunbed (we only needed it to place our toddler’s belongings), the staff appeared confused, as the person was not actually at the pool bar or nearby.Another unpleasant experience occurred when we were told that our barefoot toddler was not allowed to kick a light ball on the grass lawn in front of the main pool. At the same time, other guests were freely walking on the same lawn wearing shoes, including high heels. This felt inconsistent and unfair. In the restaurants, the food service time was significantly longer than promised. On one occasion, we were told our toddler’s food would arrive within 25 minutes, but after 45 minutes it still had not been served. This was particularly frustrating, as dealing with a tired and hungry toddler is very challenging.

The property was beautiful on the outside

The room was outdated and really filthy. The door to my bathroom was jammed and the lamp shades had stains on them which made sleeping there really uncomfortable.

Incredible room, breakfast buffet, restaurants. WiFi faster than our first hotel, able to get necessary work done and supported Facetime videos. Would 100% come back. Bali is hard to get to from North America, but worth it!!

The facilities and the outside atmosphere of the resort.

1- Didn’t get my non refundable reservation:- booked 2 deluxe rooms- they “upgraded” to a villa without asking. Turns out the villa is outside the resort near the street where the cars come to pick up (not the resort front facing villas). Villa is surrounded by for walls with zero view. So It is a downgrade. You can rent a better villa with half the price outside. - when requested to change it to our actual reservation, it took more than hour and half then they said we don’t have your exact rooms that you reserved but we have single beds!- So they waisted our first night (we only staying 2 nights by the way) with delay in check-in and they apparently allocated our rooms to other “privileged” guests. What a joke. They gave us a free dinner, but the damage was already done and the night was ruined.- Hotel rooms are old and the sofas are like 10 years old with spots everywhere. It is a chalets-like rather than a hotel. Also, our view was on a large empty land with construction machinery working from early morning!- the vibe is strange in the hotel, can’t explain it in words, but you will notice.- Almost all restaurants asks if you have reservations. And some are fully reserved from beginning of the day. The food in some restaurants takes more than an hour to arrive. Disappointed.

    Beautiful resort

They have two caged peacocks and the staff uses slingshots to scare off the monkeys that live in the area

The breakfast is fantastic, offering great quality and a wide variety. The service was also great, with a very helpful and kind staff. The hotel is very beautiful, with an incredible pool. We stayed at an oceanfront private pool junior suite, which is extremely comfortable.

Having our own private pool was fantastic, Buffet breakfast was very good with high quality food choices and great coffee. The beds were big and luxurious. Minibar snack options were great. Showers and bathrooms were excellent.

5 hours or angle grinders and jack hammers when the resort needed to replace a fire hydrant really sucked the value out of our stay. We were never informed of the work or how long it would take. When I ran the room service number to find out how much longer the work would be going on, I was told 30min. It continued for another 60min.The floors were dusty and dirty leaving our feet black after having a shower. Garden maintenance left thorns in our pool. This was discovered by getting one stuck in the heal of my foot. Our main door to access our villa ran out of battery when one of our family member needed the toilet. We contacted a staff member who asked us to wait in the tea room of the resort while the situation was fixed. after 30min I decided to check if our door was fixed as we had received no update. A technician had our door open and was working on replacing the battery. I asked if we could enter the villa. He said yes. My family member could then finally go to the toilet. On our last night we ordered room service for dinner. The Kempinski quoted 45 - 50 min for its arrival. It arrived after 1hr and 20 minutes. Food was very good. Margareta pizza was average.Someone rang our doorbell at 7am. I got to the door within 20 seconds and only saw a Kempinski staff member hanging out behind one of the staff vehicles. Not sure who rang the doorbell.

It’s obviously a really luxurious property with a lot of amenities. Very instagrammable.Food generally was really tasty although not the best I’ve had at an ultra luxury hotel. The aquarium restaurant is a really unique experience and the scallops are to die for.The rooms are super nice although expected for how much you’re spending.Shoutout to the sheesha guy at Reef bar. Really great sheesha.

There’s a 10% service charge on everything automatically even eating at the restaurant. I’ve stayed at ultra luxury hotels around the world and minority of hotels do this and I find it super annoying because I’m paying close to $1000 a night. The food is already overpriced (which is okay) but then automatically service charge kinda seems too much. The swimming pools were very average. Also if you wear swimming goggles you can see how unclean they are at the bottom. Generally I’d ignore it but you expect better from ultra luxury resorts

Our stay at The Apurva Kempinski was nothing short of spectacular, truly the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The entire resort feels luxurious, from the grand architecture to the attentive service. We stayed in a Cliff Suite with a private pool, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. While it was wonderful, we’d recommend the ocean-view suites if available the views are simply breathtaking. Even the garden or pool-view rooms are more than sufficient, but the ocean view is unforgettable. The resort is very family-friendly. The kids absolutely loved the pools, especially the shallow option and the one with a water slide. There were plenty of cabanas and shaded seating areas, making it easy to relax. The kids club was well set up and air-conditioned, and the nannies available for booking made a huge difference. A tip for parents: check if your nanny can swim, not all do, and if they can, it’s a fantastic extra set of eyes for the pool.Dining was another highlight. Koral Restaurant gave the whole stay that extra sparkle, dining next to a huge aquarium window was magical and a memory we’ll treasure. Bai Yun offered a theatrical hot pot experience with dipping sauces prepared tableside, and Izakaya by Oku was a delight, letting us cook steak right at the table. Each restaurant was unique and memorable.Everything about The Apurva Kempinski was world-class, luxurious, relaxing, and full of thoughtful details. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return.

Air-conditioning in the room: Even with the temperature set to 17°C, the room never felt quite cool enough, especially at night. While the bed was very comfortable, the heat made it difficult to get a restful sleep on most nights.Walkways and lift waiting areas: These spaces could feel very hot during the day. Installing ceiling or standing fans to create a bit of airflow would make a big difference and provide relief for guests.

Breakfast was excellent. Very well presented with lots of variety. The room was larger than expected, with a super comfortable bed. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a relaxing stay. Well done Apurva Kempinski.

Nothing. This is a standout resort.

We had such an amazing stay at The Apurva Kempinski Bali! The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and really well thought out. The staff were so kind and helpful, always making sure we felt taken care of. Breakfast included a nice variety! The whole place is designed so beautifully, and the location is great too. It’s perfect whether you’re traveling as a couple or with family. We honestly enjoyed every part of our stay and would love to come back again.

    Nothing- everything was great!
